SBTRKT announces new album, shares song feat. Vampire Weekend’s Ezra Koenig (listen)

by Andrew Sacher It’s been three years since SBTRKT released his excellent debut album — though he’s put out things like an instrumental EP and a live album in that time — and he’s now finally announced its followup, Wonder Where We Land. He also shared the new song “New Dorp, New York,” which features Vampire Weekend’s Ezra Koenig on lead vocals. It’s a pretty wacky cut that’s a step sideways from his debut LP and not very Vampire Weekend-like either. Quintron and Miss Pussycat announce new LP, fall tour dates

New Orleans duo Quintron and Miss Pussycat have a new album coming out this fall, details of which have yet to be revealed. The Rentals release second song from new album; Weezer share ‘Back to the Shack’

Matt Sharp’s band The Rentals, whose line-up these days includes Lucius’ Jess Wolfe and Holly Laessig as well as Black Keys drummer Patrick Carney, will release their long-awaited (15 years) new album, Lost in Alphaville, on August 26. They’ve just released a second track from the album, “1000 Seasons,” which is an ode to making a connection in today’s hyper-connected world. Stream it below.
