After a Cinderella-like run to a second consecutive NCAA Men’s Water Polo Tournament semifinal, St. Francis Brooklyn’s unlikely dream of playing for it’s first NCAA title was shattered last Saturday by five-time defending champion, the University of Southern California. In capturing a 10-3 win at Stanford’s Avery Aquatics Center, the Trojans — one of the highest scoring teams in NCAA history — played suffocating defense, repeatedly frustrating the Terriers’ attack.
