A win in Los Angeles 22 hours after a loss at Golden State. The Nets jumped on the Lakers early thanks to a hot start from Paul Pierce, and Deron Williams had one of the finest stat lines in the history of the franchise (30 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists, and 6 steals) to guide the Nets’ ship to a 108-102 victory in which they never trailed.
The Nets are holding steady and Deron Williams has returned to his world-class form since the All-Star break. This was a great bounce back for the team coming off a loss in Golden State on Saturday, and no small help comes from the bounce being back in DWILL’s floor game. There is no doubt this year’s Nets are at their best when Williams sets the tone by pushing the pace, and now he is healthy enough to sustain that level of play.
The podcast at the top of the screen will get you caught up on any action you may have missed while sleeping this weekend.
Oh yeah, Jason Collins made American team sports history, but for the Nets’ purposes and old friend returned to solidify a front line in desperate need of defensive help.
